What we collect, and what we do with it
Short version: we collect what you send us through the contact form, we use it to reply to you, and we do not sell it or add you to anything.
Information we collect
When you submit the contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number, company, selected service, budget range and message you provide. We also record the IP address and browser the submission came from, which we use to filter automated spam.
If analytics is enabled on this site, it collects aggregate usage data — pages viewed, approximate region, referring source. That data is not used to identify you personally.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project.
- To prepare a proposal or scope if you ask for one.
- To keep our own records of who we have spoken to and about what.
We do not add contact form submissions to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
Consent, and what the tick means
Sending us an enquiry is a request for a reply, and we reply to it — that needs no consent and no tick. The consent box on our forms is separate, and covers only ongoing marketing: occasional emails or texts from us about lead generation. It is never pre-ticked and never required to submit a form.
When you do tick it we record three things: that you consented, the exact wording you agreed to, and when. That way the record says what you actually agreed to rather than simply carrying a yes.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing email and text we send carries a working unsubscribe and identifies us accurately as the sender, as the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 requires. Unsubscribing stops the marketing; it does not stop us replying to something you have asked us about. You can also simply email contact@diginova.co.nz and we will action it.
Information we collect indirectly
Sometimes we receive information about you from somewhere other than you — for example when a client passes on an enquiry, or where advertising or analytics platforms report activity back to us. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make you aware of it, what it is used for and who holds it, as Information Privacy Principle 3A requires (in force since 1 May 2026).
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while there is a genuine business reason to hold them — an active conversation, a live project, or a record we are required to keep — and are deleted after that. Consent records are kept for as long as the consent is relied on, plus a reasonable period afterwards, so we can show what was agreed. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Marketing we run for clients
When we run email or SMS campaigns for a client, we act as a processor for that client's data. Those campaigns are permission-based: every recipient has opted in, every message identifies the sender accurately, and every message carries a working unsubscribe, as the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 requires. We will not send campaigns to a list that cannot demonstrate consent.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@diginova.co.nz and we will action it.
